Christopher Frederick, SVP Sales & Worldwide Marketing for Small Bone Innovations Inc., to Address Investors in Boston

NEW YORK (BusinessWire EON) September 18, 2007 -- In 2007, SBi has expanded its range by launching ten new systems in the thumb, wrist, elbow and foot & ankle, and received FDA clearance to market a further six products.

SBi just rolled out Artelon(R) Arthro and Artelon STT degradable spacers to treat arthritis in the thumb with tissue-sparing and function restoring benefits of the successful Artelon CMC-1 and Artelon LG spacers. An estimated 4,000 spacers have been implanted to date.

In its Wrist Repair portfolio FDA clearance of SBi's distal radius plating system, PRECISE SD(TM), follows the rollout of the STABILITY(TM) Sigmoid Notch Total DRUJ System(TM). It is believed to be the only true anatomic replacement option in the U.S. for the principal wrist joint.

SBi's Elbow Management System now includes the rHead(TM) Elbow Plating System and a minimally invasive rHead(TM) Lateral Radial Head Implant. This system provides a unique locking mechanism between the radial head and stem. SBi's UNI-Elbow(TM) is the first uni-compartmental arthroplasty commercially available in the U.S. and is compatible with all three rHead(TM) prostheses.

Developments in the foot & ankle sector include the RingFIX(TM) 'next generation' external fixation system and six recent FDA clearances for patients with a variety of foot & ankle complaints.
